Izod Clothing

Izod clothing is making a comeback. A good few years ago, decades even, it was quite popular to wear collared clothes with a small green alligator printed on the front.

The green alligator undoubtedly is the logo for Izod clothing, and lately I have noticed that people are beginning to wear them once more.

However it was not until I went to the market that I really realized that Izod clothing is making a fashion comeback.

There seems to be a weird phenomenon occurring at flea markets recently. There is always a huge bunch of countertops set up with the latest in designer knock-offs of different types of clothing, sunglasses, jewellery and ladies handbags.

Naturally the ladies handbags are by far the biggest seller, and when I made up my mind that I wanted a Kate Spade diaper bag, but most certainly did not want to spend 300 hundred dollars on an item I would be using to carry diapers and cheerios, I made up my mind to get one at the local flea market.

As expected While I was at the flea market I also bought a beautiful Prada bag and 2 pairs of Chanel sunglasses. The total cost was only 48 dollars, so I’m very certain that none of it is the real M'coy.

The wonderful thing about the cheap knock-offs is that they look just as fantastic as the expensive designer versions, at only a tiny portion of the cost.

When I recently tipped a coffee into my Kate Spade diaper bag, and no matter what I tried I could not get the stain out with h20, I simply went down to the local flea market again and purchased another one.

Amazingly while I was shopping the last time I noticed entire tables filled with Izod clothing, including the retro collared shirts with the green alligator in the corner I distinctly remember wearing when I was a small child.

And even more intriguing were the groups of teenage boys and girls hovered around the tables going through the clothes. If something is in fashion, the first group of persons who will begin wearing or using it is teenagers. They are the ones who pay attention to fashion in a weird kinda way that adults just don’t, and this makes the best indicator of whether an item is hot and trendy.

I was carrying my Kate Spade bag and peering over at what was happening over at the Izod clothing table with renewed interest, debating whether or not to buy some new Izod clothing for myself. Finally I decided not to because I doubt that Izod clothing is so dear that I could truly justify buying it as a knockoff.

And of course I’m going to need a little more time to get warmed up to the Izod clothing trend once more, since it still harbours so many memories from the 70's for me.
